Gardena-raised, San Diego transplant-turned-native, Kahlee kicks guttural truths atop the gut-quaking production of North County San Diego producer/rapper, Ralph Quasar. The duo drop three gems for the hip hop heads with the EP, SD State of Mind - an aural expedition that will take you on a journey inside the San Diego state of mind, and into the mind of one of SD’s most skilled wordsmiths and one of her most skilled beatsmiths.

SD State of Mind is a treatise on how to, and not to, maneuver hip hop, entrepreneurship, and life. The first single, “For the Culture,” finds Kahlee in his bag, making a case for operating with integrity and purity, for doing things for the culture. The track features Kahlee’s Fresh State comrade and San Diego staple, Ric Scales. The follow-up single, “S.D. State of Mind,” is a punchline-heavy, battle-esque banger wherein Kahlee defines the parameters of his lane while he schools haters on finding and driving in their own. The track features social-political lyricist, Odessa Kane, who writes with “shards of glass” and cuts deeply if you side with wack rappers or oppressors. Kahlee and Quasar leave listeners encouraged to go out and build their dreams instead of tearing others’ down with “Building Buildings.” Whether you’re in SD, on the west coast, or beyond, Kahlee and Ralph Quasar want to invite you into the SD State of Mind.
